Tips for students to deal with exam stress

    2/20/2020 12:00:00 AM
One of the top problems students and parents face during board exams is dealing with stress and anxiety which can make even well-prepared students face health issues. Here are a few tips for students and parents in dealing with board exam stress

While exams are often associated with stress, pressure and sleepless nights, the addition of the word 'Board' doubles the stress levels in both students and parents alike. Board exam stress and anxiety has become a phenomenon faced by Class 10 and 12 students, and their parents alike. In this stressful academic journey, parents have a major role to play in helping their child prepare stress-free for their board exams. It has been observed that stress before and during exams has an adverse impact on the performance of students.

Time management is a skill that plays a key role in exam preparation. Planning a realistic schedule and implementing it will help students complete the syllabus for the exam on or before time and boost their confidence. With effective time management, students can spare time for physical activities as well. Exam preparation timetable should be a perfect blend of learning and revising the syllabus along with sufficient time to attempt sample question papers and previous years’ question papers.

Setting practical goals helps immensely in maintaining momentum. Therefore, by setting daily and weekly study goals, students can focus better on subjects they find difficult and devote more time to practising questions.Avoid pressuring your child and comparing them with their siblings and peers. Every child is different and has innate capabilities. Parents should give their children the freedom to decide their targets. Parents should take care not to push their children beyond their capabilities. The area where the child studies should have a positive aura. It should be well-ventilated and have adequate light. Parents should provide their children with essential stationery and other resources.

Physics maestro DC Pandey tips to learn Physics

    2/18/2020 12:00:00 AM
Check out these Class 12 Physics board exam tips for Physics expert and maestro DC Pandey

Physics is considered a difficult subject, especially for NEET aspirants. This does not imply that students can’t score well. DC Pandey, a Physics maestro who has written over 13 reference books on the subject and is now an Unacademy educator, believes that one can score good marks in Physics if it is studied in a well-managed and planned way. So let go of any anxiety related to preparing Physics for your board exams and check out the helpful tips below.

    1. Mechanics is important not only because concepts of Mechanics are used in many other chapters but also because it sharpens your mind.School Physics is easier than competitive exams

    2. Around 90% of Physics consists of concepts that first need to be understood. Rather than beginning with the common approach of problems first, always start by reading and understanding the concepts.

    3. While memorising formulae is important, it is crucial to understand what each formula is. This will help in applying the right one in the right place.

    4. In the excitement and fear of learning the subject, students and parents end up buying multiple textbooks and reference books on Physics. This can further confuse students rather than help them.

    5. For the NEET aspirants, Physics is the toughest one as compared to the other subjects and some of the chapters become very tough like Rotation, Electrostatics etc.
