Tips to prepare for Board exams 2020

    12/26/2019 12:00:00 AM
Here are tips to make a student exam-ready without falling into anxiety

The CBSE and CISCE have announced their class 10 and 12 board exam date sheets, prompting preparation anxiety among students. To give the best performance in Board exams, students need to be in their best state of mind while preparing too, instead of spending precious revision hours in sleepless nights. The class 10 and class 12 syllabus is completed long before the exams. Therefore, a student should start rigorous revision. Whether it is making oneself friendly with theorems and numerical problems of Mathematics, or understanding chemical formulas in Chemistry, revolutions and personalities in History, a proper revision is the best antidote. So, instead of exploring chapters which are not touched yet, one should utilise the remaining time in getting better insights on chapters that s/he has already gone through. The revision will help clear many prevailing doubts and confusions.

It becomes quite monotonous for students preparing a single subject for long hours. Instead, give each subject a fair amount of time. All subjects are important because they are going to make an impact on one’s score card equally. For all-round performance, one has to devote extra time to subjects where s/he lacks, but other subjects should not be ignored and be revised regularly and sincerely.

It is very beneficial for students to prepare notes while studying. These will help them in the final phase of the study; the last-minute browsing before exam day. Further, developing acronyms for an easy recall is important to memorise various lengthy formulas and equations.

    12/25/2019 12:00:00 AM
Check out these 5 tips to boost up your preparation

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur is conducting Joint Admission Test for MSc 2020 on February 9, 2020. The registration for the examination has closed and the candidates are awaiting for JAM 2020 admit card release which is scheduled on January 7, 2020.Now that candidate only has a month or so to prepare for the examination and this is the time to make it or break it. The general perception is that coaching is mandatory for cracking IIT-JAM exam. However, every year there are candidates, who ace the exam without coaching. So, if you are in the same category of non-coaching candidates then do not worry about the entrance test and make a note of these 5 important tips.

JAM is conducted by IITs, on a rotational basis, to fill seats in Joint MS.-PhD, MSc-PhD dual degree, et al programmes.

Candidates should check the syllabus and divide it into strong and weak topics. Since the exam is here, this is the time to make strong subjects stronger.

It is important to go back and revise the basics learned in class 11 and 12. Also, JAM is designed for a graduate candidate, hence, one should also revise BSc coursework thoroughly.

Candidates who do not take coaching usually struggle with problems on their own and it is good to solve problems them with hard work and persistence. However, when the time is less, seeking help from an expert saves time and brings in the opportunity to learn something new. So, when stuck, do not hesitate to approach the teacher or expert.

There is no better source to prepare for an examination, other than previous year question paper and mock test. So, do make sure to solve as many questions paper and mock test as one can.
