UPSSSC TUBEWELL RECRUITMENT EXAM: THERE WAS NO CONFIDENCE UN THE PERSON:
☛ Lucknow: The exam for the tubewell operators under the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) were postponed after the Hindi question paper was leaked on Saturday. Announcing the decision to postponed the exam, the Lucknow District Magistrate said that the fresh dates for the UPSSSC tubewell operator exam will be announced soon.
☛ According to the reports, the UPSSSC exam paper was leaked a day before the exam was to be conducted on Sunday. The test was cancelled for the authorities got to know of the paper leak. The announcement was made on Saturday night, as per the reports. The tubewell operator exam was scheduled for a total of 3210 vacancies.
☛ The latest reports have it that the UP Special Task Force has held at least 11 people in connection with the UPSSSC paper leak case. Mobile phones, documents, Rs 15 lakh cash has also been seized. As soon as the reports of cancellation of the exam were made public, the students resorted to raising slogans and protesting against the authorities.
☛ “11 people were arrested last night, including their mastermind Sachin (a teacher), in connection with UP tubewell operator paper leak case. Some papers & cash was retrieved from them,” Prashant Kumar, ADG Meerut, said.
☛ In other reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which came under heavy criticism this year following the leak of class 10 mathematics paper and class 12 economics paper, has forged a partnership with tech giant Microsoft to prevent such leaks in the future.
☛ The paper leaks triggered nation-wide outrage among students and parents. This set the CBSE, which has 20,299 schools in the country, in action, paving the way for the partnership with Microsoft which developed an encrypted security solution for digital question papers for the board within a period of three months.
