MHRD OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP TO CLASS 9 STUDENTS OF ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTIONS
MHRD is offering scholarship to Class 9 students of economically weaker sections:
The Department of School Education and Literacy , Ministry of Human Resource Development , Government of India , is offering a scholarship to exemplary students of class 9 , who are impoverished and are finding hurdle in continuing their secondary stage education , in order to minimise the dropout rate in class 8.This scholarship will encourage them to continue their secondary stage education.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship , The annual family income must not be more than Rs 1.50 lakh from all sources and the candidates need to fufil the mandated requirements:
Eligibility criteria:
The applicant must have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in class 8.He/She must have obtained minimum 55% in class 7 , in order to appear in the selection test for the scholarship award.
A relaxation of 5% will be given to SC and ST candidates
Steps to apply for the scholarship:
• Step 1 : Visit the official website , Click on New student? Register Here.
• Step 2 : Select the state of domicile,select the name of the scholarship the student is applying for , select scheme type and fill in the required details.
• Step 3 : Provide the bank details.The mobile number will be verified through OTP.
• Step 4 : Login using OTP and fill the form.An application ID and password will be generated.Use that for the future references.
☛ The students will be selected on the basis of the selection test conducted by each state/UT namely:
Mental Ability Test(MAT)
Scholastic Aptitude Test(SAT)
