KUVEMPU UNIVERSITY AFFILIATION NOTIFICATION FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-19




AFFILIATION NOTIFICATION:

Sub : Inviting online application of affiliation for the academic year 2018-19 – reg.

Applications are invited online from the registered educational Trusts/ Institutions/ Organisations/ Societies situated in Shimoga & Chikmagalur District areas of Kuvempu University Jurisdiction which are financially viable to start new colleges from the academic year 2018-19 in the discipline of Arts, Science, Commerce, management, Education, Physical Education and B.Voc., degree Courses, without expecting the state government grant.

Applications are also invited online from the affiliated colleges of Kuvempu University in the prescribed proforma seeking renewal of temporary affiliation; permanent affiliation; review of permanent affiliation, for extension of degree or Post Graduate degree courses, combinations, languages and for the grant of additional intake of students for the academic year 2018-19. Besides, colleges are also required to submit hard copy of the application uploaded online and manual application in duplicate for UG and PG. Courses should be sent separately to the Office of the College Development Council.
The Other Details are:

i.) The application for seeking fresh affiliation to start B.Ed and B.P.Ed colleges can be submitted online by registered Educational Trust/ Institutions/Organizations after obtaining NOC from the affiliating University and prior approval of NCTE or such other authorities following the rules/regulations stipulated by them.

ii.) The Principals of the existing colleges or registered trust/ institutions/ organisations shall not submit application for affiliation to the courses/optionals which are not as per University regulations.

iii.) The existing colleges that have temporary affiliation for a continuous period of FIVE years and have fulfilled the conditions laid down by the earlier Local Inquiry Committees and achieved the academic and administrative standards prescribed by the University may submit application for permanent affiliation.

iv.) The colleges which are continuously affiliated for the last five years and have got four duly qualified core faculty (at least two with Ph.D.) for each Post Graduate programme, and have got proper facilities for research activities as laid down in the University/Government guidelines may submit applications seeking fresh affiliation to start Postgraduate programmes during 2018-19.

v.) While submitting online application for seeking fresh affiliation, the registered trust/ Institutions/ Organizations should enclose along with the hard copy of prescribed application, the following documents:

☛ 1) Copy of the Registration Certificate of the Education Society.
☛ 2) Copy of the Memorandum & Articles of Association, Rules, Regulation and Byelaw.
☛ 3) In case of a trust, a copy of the Trust Deed and evidence for having registered the same as per rules and a copy of the decision taken in the trust meeting.
☛ 4) Latest Audit Report of the Educational Society/Trust.
☛ 5) Audit Report of the College.
☛ 6) Annual Report of the Previous Year.
☛ 7) Place in which proposed college is to be located and its suitability (enclose building plan etc.,)
☛ 8) In the case of SC/ST Management, a certificate issued by the competent authority.
☛ 9) An undertaking in Rs.100/- (One Hundred Rupees Only) stamp paper duly certified by notary should be given stating that the college will comply with all provisions of the Act, Statutes, Regulations, Ordinance, guidelines issued from time to time.

06. The Principals of Government Colleges are strictly instructed to get prior approval of the Government to start new courses/subjects/languages and for additional intake, otherwise such requests will not be considered. Further, they are instructed to submit their application furnishing clear information for continuation of affiliation in the prescribed form without fail. In case of additional sections, combinations, languages, increase of intake etc., such requirements should be thoroughly checked and mentioned clearly while submitting online application.

07. 50% concession in affiliation fee will be given to the colleges run by the SC/ST management.. (Development fee and Service fee shall be fully paid) Such organizations/trusts should submit a certificate issued by the competent authority stating that their organization/trust belongs to SC/ST Management. Those who fail to submit such certificate, their application will not be considered under 50% concession category. 08. 09. Colleges with Permanent affiliation which are also having temporary affiliation for some degree courses/ optional subjects/ languages shall apply online separately.

11. The prescribed application fee of Rs.2200/- (Rs. Two thousand only) and the concerned affiliation fees, should be remitted to Affiliation Account No. 54023035811 through National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) to the State Bank of India, Jnana Sahyadri branch, Shankaraghatta, IFSC No. SBIN0040759, mentioning as affiliation fee in favour of “The Finance Officer, Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta”

12. The guidelines and regulations pertaining to affiliation issued by the UGC, State Government and University should be strictly adhered to.

13. Online applications should be submitted on or before the dates mentioned below:

i.)Without penal fee : 03-10-2017

ii.) With penal fee of Rs. 10,000/- : 02-11-2017

iii.) In exceptional cases
(by paying late fee at the
rate of Rs.10,000-00 for every fortnight) : 18-11-2017

Applications sent after the last date mentioned will not be considered under any circumstances.
