IIT-Delhi to conduct JEE Advanced on May 17
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-Delhi) will conduct the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced on May 17. The institute has launched the official website of JEE Advanced 2020 — jeeadv.ac.in. “The website will contain pertinent information for the candidates aspiring to appear in the JEE (Advanced) 2020. The candidates are encouraged to check the website at frequent intervals for any updates,” read the official notification.Last year, the JEE Advanced was conducted on May 27 in two shifts – paper I (9 am to noon) and paper II is (2 pm to 5 pm).In another development, the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday criticised the centre for adding Gujarati as a medium for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) and asked why all other regional languages, including Bengali, should not be included as well.
“Joint Entrance Examination so long were conducted in English and Hindi languages. Surprisingly, now only Gujarati language has been added. Such a step is not at all praiseworthy,” Banerjee tweeted. If Gujarati has to be there, then all regional languages, including Bengali must be there, the chief minister tweeted.
