Government schools told to wind up annual tests by April 12, well before polls

All district education officials should coordinate with schools in their areas and ensure that the exams start by April 1 finish on April 12.

The Director of Government Examinations(DGE) said that government and government-aided schools should wind up their annual examinations by April 12 and close for summer holidays.The schools have further been asked to make up for loss of working days by having Saturday as a working day.As Several teachers from government and aided schools will be involved in working for the conduct of the Lok Sabha elections and the school premises too will be used as polling centres on April 18.
