COIMBATORE HM BAGS DESERVES NATIONAL AWARD:
A PRESTIGIOUS GRADE TO R.SATHYA(HM):
☛ COIMBATORE: R.Sathy the headmistress of panchayat union primary school in malumichampatti near Coimbatore has been selected for “National award”. She received e-mail from Ministry of Human Resource development(MHRD) stating that the accolade including a certificate of merit,cash award of Rs.50,000 and silver medal.
☛ The only one teacher from Tamil Nadu who has been chosen and receive the award from Vice President M.Venkaiah Naidu on September 05 for teachers day function in New Delhi.
☛ R.sathy, the 46 year-old women had start up her school career on 1995 at Sultanpet panchayat union primary school and became headmistress of Bodipalayam panchayat union primary school in 2004 after that she joined in primary school in malumichampatti in 2012, at that time school was in bad stage so much of lacked facilities.
☛ In first two years she took up renovating the school and the infrastructure. The campus boasts of a garden where vegetables are grown and taken care by students under supervision of staffs. Soon after, she set up a smart classroom ,she changed black board to green board, in which we can use magnets to place maps or pictures for students. With the help of Benefactors, she constructed much-needed toilet and a reverse osmosis drinking water unit.
KUTTI COMMANDOS PROJECT:
☛ The team of “Kutti cammandos” of class V students to go around the locality in early morning , advices the natives to refrain from defecating from open.The group educate the people of ill-effects of open defection and with helps of officials as many as 244 toilets were constricted in village.
☛ Under her leadership the Panchayat Union Primary School received 'Best School Award' in 2015. Currently, the co-education school has student strength of 280 including 146 boys and 134 girls and has ambitious plans for the future.
☛ Hence Twenty-three years of services in various government schools and half a dozen good initiatives has brought the National award for Teachers to R.Sathy’s doorstep.
☛ In Future, the campus gets transform into plastic free campus, The first steps is to use steal tiffin boxes and water bottles instead of using plastic boxes and bottles.
